The PowerWave died again. Rather than get all ticked off, I decided to replace it. I wound up getting an M-Audio Firewire Solo. The drivers that came with the unit weren't good for Tiger and wound up crashing my G5. Uninstalling the drivers and downloading the new ones fixed the problem.
So now I have the mixer, mics, pre-amp, and software. I haven't decided if I'm going to use Garage Band or Soundtrack yet.
We start recording tomorrow.

The first episode of World of Warcast is finally finished. Not only did I make the MP3 version, but I made an AAC version for iTunes 4.9 which has chapter stops, hot links, and artwork.

As much as I understand computers and syntax and HTML and XML and all this, for some reason I just COULD NOT get the XML to validate, even when using the examples on feedvalidator.org.
So instead I looked at a program called Feeder for Mac OS X. Not only did it create valid XML, it showed me two minor issues with the feed. The app is great. It has 2 minor bugs which I reported to the author.
There shouldn't be any more problems with the feed now.

Sorry about that. I had inadvertantly lowered the output volume on GarageBand instead of lowering the main volume on the Mac.
If you're in iTunes, right-click on Episode 8 from your Podcast list, click "Clear", and when it asks you to delete the file on your hard drive, say yes. Then right click on the "World of Warcast" podcast title and select "Update Podcast". That should get you the new version.

If you're having problems downloading episodes, go to your podcast list in iTunes, right click on the "World of Warcast" title in iTunes, and click on "Update Podcast".
I had to move the files from our old server to libsyn, so chances are you have an older RSS feed. Updating the podcast should fix the problem.
